Privacy
Wakeelnama holds client papers for advocates. This page says what we keep, who can see it, who processes it for us, how long it stays and how you take it out or delete it.
What we keep
Your email, and the profile details you choose to add. Your case files: documents you upload, the board, drafts and hearing dates. Usage counts so plans work. Payment requests, receipts and transaction IDs. Sign-in records and a log of actions on your account. Your directory listing, if you make one.
How case files are protected
Uploaded documents are encrypted at rest with a key for each file. Case files are visible only to you and members of your chamber you invite. Wakeelnama staff cannot open them unless you grant access for a support request, for a limited time, and that access is logged.
Who processes it for us
- AI processing: to work a case, the relevant text is sent to our AI provider, Anthropic, to produce the chamber's output. It is not used to train any model. Anthropic deletes the text and answers within 30 days, but may keep them up to 2 years if the law requires or its safety checks flag a request. Its servers are outside Pakistan.
- Email: sign-in codes, reminders and payment notices go through an email service we will name here before launch. Reminders carry no case details.
- Hosting and storage: not chosen yet. Before launch we will name the provider and the country that holds the database, files and backups.
- WhatsApp: if you send a payment receipt by WhatsApp, the message passes through WhatsApp to our staff phone. We delete it there once the payment is checked.
We never sell your data. We share it only with the services named above, to run Wakeelnama, or when a court order or a law requires it.
How long we keep it
A case file stays until you delete it, or delete your account. Deletion is immediate in the app and removes the stored files, your payment receipts and your directory listing. Deleted data leaves our backups within 35 days. We keep sign-in records for 13 months, the audit log for 3 years, and payment records as long as tax law requires.
Your data, your choice
- Download everything: in Settings, “Download all my data” gives you one file with your cases, boards, drafts, hearings, deadlines and research questions.
- Correct it: change your profile in Settings, and edit or delete anything in a case.
- Delete it: a document, a case, or your whole account, at any time.
Cookies
We use only the cookies needed to keep you signed in and remember your language and theme. No advertising trackers.
